- Creative Looks: which one do you actually leave on?
same. sharpness -1 with the 50 1.4 wide open. it's sharp enough already
Post #6, in Sony - A7C II or A7 V for travel, is the size difference actually noticeable in a bag?
had the a7c ii a year. body is small, the lens isn't. with the tamron 28-75 on it it's not a small camera any more. with the 50 1.4 it's great. depends what you put on the front more than anything
Post #2, in Sony - Still no X-T6. Buy an X-T5 on Black Friday or am I going to regret it?
X-T5 plus the 33 1.4. Done.
Post #11, in Fujifilm - A year with one lens
A year wide open on the 33, respect. I'd have done it on full frame for the shallower depth but same idea.
Post #6, in Showcase - Sony buying Tamron?? whats that mean for the rest of us
My 28-75 G2 is the only zoom I own and it's a Tamron. If Sony slaps a G on it I'm fine with that. Price goes up 30% though, watch.
Post #4, in Lenses - Prime Day: Tamron 70-180 G2 for £1,049. I dont need it. Talk me out of it
No prime does what that does from row M at a dance recital. Buy it.
Post #5, in Lenses - ttartisan 85 1.8 AF for like $90?? whats the catch
The catch is it's $90. Rendering's probably fine, AF probably isn't Sony's. 85 is a weird focal length for night street anyway. Get a 50.
Post #2, in Lenses - A7R VI announced: 66.8MP fully stacked, $4,499. Thoughts?
Not me. Want to know what 67MP does to the 50 GM wide open. Pixel peepers are going to have a field day. My guess is it's fine. The GM primes were designed for this.
Post #10, in Sony - How did you get into photography?
Bought a 50mm f/1.8 in college. Saw what wide open did to a background. That was that.
Post #12, in Lounge - adapting a helios 44-2 to my a7c? focus peaking at night
That's the look though.
