Seeing reports that Canon has quietly stopped making the original R5. Not surprising with the Mark II out for a year and a half. For anyone who mostly shoots landscape and doesn't need the newer AF or faster readout, a discounted new R5 or a clean used one is probably the best-value 45MP body Canon has sold. I'm keeping mine.
Curious whether stores are actually cutting prices or just letting stock run out. With the tariff mess on this side, I'd half expect the remaining stock to go up rather than down, which would be absurd but not surprising. If anyone sees a real deal in the US, post it here.
