- R6 Mark III owners, do you actually use the 40fps?
don't have the iii but gig lights + e-shutter on the r6 = banding city lol. idk how much better the new sensor is with that
Post #4, in Canon - Calibrated my monitor for the first time and now everything looks yellow??
welcome to the yellow screen club. it gets better
Post #6, in Editing & Software - Critique please! First time shooting a car meet at night
12800 on the z5 ii is totally usable after denoise. don't be scared of it. the muddy look on the 240z is probably the light more than the noise
Post #3, in Showcase - Clocks go back in three weeks. What do you actually shoot on winter weeknights?
gigs. venues are dark all year round so winter changes nothing for me. only difference is i'm already wearing a coat when i get there
Post #16, in Lounge - RawTherapee or darktable for X-Trans files, honestly?
i use lightroom so ignore me but every time i open darktable i close it again within ten minutes lol. if RT already makes sense to you that counts for a lot
Post #3, in Editing & Software - A7 IV under floodlights, focus is fine but files look mushy?
yeah thats jpeg noise reduction 100%. raw + denoise and 12800 is fine honestly, i shoot dark clubs at 25600 on an original r6 and bands use them
Post #3, in Sony - Edits look great on my laptop and too dark on everything else
yeah that'll do it lol. i edit gig stuff at 2am in a dark room and learned this the hard way when a band put my shots up on a projector and they were basically black
Post #3, in Editing & Software - R8 Mark II finally gets IBIS and a joystick. Retro styling yay or nay?
IBIS in an R8 body is the update everyone wanted since day one. the retro thing i could take or leave. 80s styling for people who weren't alive in the 80s lol
Post #2, in Canon - Lightroom 'Prompt to Edit', has anyone actually got it yet?
a recipe is a prompt you set once in a menu, change my mind
Post #8, in Editing & Software - Lightroom 'Prompt to Edit', has anyone actually got it yet?
not on mine either. tbh "warm up the skin" is what the white balance slider is for, it's not exactly hard
