Seeing as it starts earlier every year, figured we needed one of these. Post deals you've actually seen, with a price and roughly where, and please say if it's UK, US or wherever because half the confusion last year was people comparing pounds to dollars.

I'll start: A7 III body is down to around £899 in a couple of places, which honestly is mad for a camera that still does everything. Also seeing the usual "up to 30% off" lens stuff that turns out to be one lens nobody wants at 30% off.

I am NOT buying anything this year. Probably.

us here. seeing X-T5 kits with a couple hundred off at the big places, nothing crazy on fuji bodies yet. fuji doesn't really do black friday tbh

R6 II around £1,399 at one place I looked, tempting, but I'm a crop man and really want R7 money off and its barely moved, think they're keeping it for when the II finally turns up, which could be next year or never at this rate

Watch out for the ones that put the price up in October then knock it down for Black Friday. Had a lok at a lens I've been watching for months and the "deal" is £20 cheaper than it was in August. Bloody cheek. If you're buying from the big online places use one of the price history sites first, you can see exactly who's been at it.

australian black friday is a joke as usual, the 70-350 is $30 off. thirty dollars. I reckon I'll live. might just buy a hat instead, it's meant to hit 35 here next week

Nikon US has the Z6 III with a nice chunk off, and some of the Z lenses are bundled with free stuff like extra batteries and cards. Worth checking if you're on the fence. Not buying, just reporting! (My husband reads this forum.)

In Germany the A7 IV is a bit cheaper but not much, maybe 150 euro. I am waiting, there are strong rumours about a new Sony body in early December. If it is real, A7 IV prices will fall properly in January, and used ones even more.

Update: I am being tempted by the 85 GM II. It's about £200 off at one place and I've had it in my basket twice tonight. Talk me out of it. I have the 1.8 and it's fine. Its fine honestly

There's never a Black Friday on film, Hannah... my dad used to say the only discount on film is the roll you forgot was at the back of the fridge, and he was right about that if almost nothing else. He also thought you could fix any camera with a matchstick and some patience, which explains a lot about the state of my Spotmatic.

I did see some Ilford paper going cheap, mind, and if you print that's the real cost anyway isn't it? A box of 100 sheets disappears faster than you'd think once you start doing test strips properly. Then there's the fixer, and the developer, and the stop... funny how nobody does a Black Friday on stop bath either. Perhaps that's a gap in the market.

Anyway I bought the paper. Then I bought more paper because the first lot was the wrong grade. So technically I've saved nothing at all, which feels about right for photography. Perhaps I should get out more.

Is the R50 with the 18-150 a good deal at $799?? Total beginner here, I posted a thread asking about R50 vs R10 too! My wife says if I don't decide by Friday she's buying me socks instead

Saw the OM-1 Mark II with a decent chunk off and had to close the tab. My E-M1 II is fine. It's FINE. Although the weather sealing on the new one is proper... and the Live GND... no. Closing the tab again. Making a cup of tea. Not opening the tab.
