  1. What did you shoot this weekend?

Tatras on Saturday, and finally I get the inversion. Whole valley full of cloud, only the peaks above, exactly like the sounding chart showed the evening before. One from four is now one from three :)

  2. First frost up the Harthope Valley, which one would you print?

I vote 4. Layers is what mountains do best, and frost only on near hills gives you depth that the tree does not have. But print it big, at A4 this kind of picture loses everything.

  3. Edinburgh photo walk, a Saturday in early December?

Sounds very good but December for me is not possible, flights from Kraków are expensive before Christmas and I have family obligations. Maybe spring? Edinburgh is on my list since long time.

  4. Predicting valley fog in autumn, what do you actually use?

Update: sounding showed warm layer around 1300m for Saturday night, I went Sunday early and it worked. Sea of fog in valley, only peaks above. Light was not perfect but I am happy. This method is…

  5. Predicting valley fog in autumn, what do you actually use?

This I didn't try. Looked now, there is sounding for Poprad and for Kraków, Poprad is closer to my valleys. Is quite confusing chart, many lines going different directions, but I see the idea, where…

ZR is cinema camera with very different price and different buyer. This one is cheap full frame for people who want small body and Nikon colours and never used viewfinder in their life. Also I think…

  7. does the iphone 18 pro replace a compact now?

In mountains phone is not enough, you need real zoom and a battery that works in cold. My friend's phone died at -10 in Tatra at 9 in the morning. But for city travel I agree, phone is fine.

  8. First polariser for autumn walks - which one, and why does my sky go patchy?

Also small thing, a polariser costs around 1.5 stops of light, so in the forest your shutter speed will drop. With the IS in that lens it's fine, but check it. And in the mountains, at altitude the…

  9. Should I sell my X-T30 II and go full frame before I get any deeper into Fuji?

No. X-T5 is mature camera and prices are good used. When X-T6 is out the people who need it will sell their X-T5 even cheaper, but meanwhile you lose the time you could be using it. I bought my Z6…

  10. Should I sell my X-T30 II and go full frame before I get any deeper into Fuji?

This is not correct. APS-C is not dead end. Fuji still makes many lenses and the bodies they have are good, they are only slow with the new ones. Canon, Sony and Nikon all still sell APS-C cameras…
