Been playing with Live ND on the OM-5 along the coast out past Spiddal. Lovely for smoothing the swell but I can't decide how long to go. At ND16 the water turns to milk and loses all the shape of the waves, at ND4 it's just a bit blurry. For those of you who shoot the sea, what do you usually settle on? Changes a lot with the swell I suppose. I've been leaning towards ND8 on the calmer evenings, but I'd love to hear how others judge it on the day.
