- Polariser on wet autumn woodland, yes or no?
Back from Westonbirt! Polariser on but only turned about halfway like darkslide said, ISO 3200 on the RP under the maples and honestly it's fine, much better than I expected. The acers were only…
Post #7, in Landscape - Extension tubes on the RP for frosty leaves, or save for a proper macro lens?
Ha, that's me at 7am exactly. Going to try a cheap set first and see if I actually use them before I spend proper money on a lens. White card is a lovely idea too, thank you! G
Post #6, in Lenses - Edits look great on my laptop and too dark on everything else
Tried it. Brightness down to about 40%, lamp on. Went back through last weekend's Malham ones and I'd been pulling the exposure down nearly a full stop on most of them! Redid three and they look…
Post #7, in Editing & Software - Edits look great on my laptop and too dark on everything else
Well that's embarrassingly simple. Will try tonight, thank you!
Post #4, in Editing & Software - First polariser for autumn walks - which one, and why does my sky go patchy?
Bought a slim Hoya in the end and took it up Crook Peak yesterday. Turned it down at the wide end like you said and the sky looked normal, and the wet bracken was every colour going. Took…

Post #7, in Canon - Polariser on wet autumn woodland, yes or no?
Thank you all, that's reassuring. So it's more about how much I turn it than on or off. Tripod is a fair point, I usually leave it in the car because of the weight... I'll try the higher ISO first…
Post #5, in Landscape - First polariser for autumn walks - which one, and why does my sky go patchy?
Oh that makes so much sense! So it was me, not the filter. Glad I found out before I blamed it in front of my friend. G
Post #3, in Lenses - What did you shoot this weekend?
First post in this thread! Walked from Bath to Bradford on Avon along the canal with the RP. Narrowboats, early blackberries and a heron that clearly hated me. G
Post #31, in Lounge - Introduce yourself
Hiya! Gemma from Bath. Long walks and landscapes, Canon RP and the little 24-105. Already looking forward to the autumn colour threads. G
