Thought we could do with a running thread for this, since not everything needs its own topic. Doesn't have to be good, doesn't have to be gear-y, just what you got up to.
I'll start. Saturday was meant to be sunrise at Loch Lomond. It rained. Sunday was meant to be sunrise at Loch Lomond. It rained harder. Got one I quite like of a heron sulking on a post in the drizzle, which is roughly how I felt too.
Helios on the A7 III round Norwich market on Saturday. Got a woman selling chrysanthemums with the swirl doing something nice for once. The rest were rubbish... standard.
Stanage at dawn on Sunday. Twelve other photographers, one decent cloud. Good idea, this.

Sweetwater Wetlands Saturday morning. Vermilion flycatcher sat on a snag about twenty feet off the boardwalk for five full minutes like he was being paid. Z8 and the 200-500. Good morning. - Walt

Last spider of the season (Phidippus, on the garage door, very sluggish, very cooperative). Then put the macro lens away and sulked.
Indoor handball tournament of my son, 1,600 frames, 40 good. The hall lights flicker, so electronic shutter gave me banding. Mechanical shutter saved the day.
St James' Saturday from the Gallowgate end, 70-200 on the D750 and my fingers went numb. Took about 400, kept six, the light in there for evening kick offs is bloody awful
Christmas market in Bath with the FM2 and a roll of Portra 800. Wont know for two weeks if any of it worked
Solstice sunrise from Higger Tor. Didn't see the sun once. Took the Mamiya anyway, for the walk...
Took the R50 to the Desert Botanical Garden and tried manual mode the whole day!! Most were too dark lol but I got a hummingbird!!!
Crows. Winter roost on the river, couple thousand birds. Too dark to shoot by the time they settled. Back next week.
Snow on Arthur's Seat, first time I've seen it properly white in years. Went up at 7, came down soaked, very happy.
Kinsale on Sunday with the GX9 and the 15. Grand little harbour, all the coloured houses, and the rain held off till the chips.
