My husband caught the bug watching me with my little Sony this fall and bought himself a used Nikon a few weeks ago (a D7500 I think?). Christmas is coming and I have no idea what to get him that he'll actually use. Budget around $100. He mostly shoots the leaves and our dog. Thanks in advance!
QuestionGift ideas for a husband who just got into photography?

A spare battery, a decent cleaning kit, and a good strap. Not glamorous, but he'll use all three every single outing, and the strap that comes in the box is always the worst one ever made. Make sure the battery is the genuine one or a well-reviewed third party, not the cheapest listing.
If he's out shooting leaves, a circular polarizer for his lens would make him very happy too. Cuts the glare off wet leaves and makes the colors jump, and it's something people rarely buy themselves until somebody shows them. - Walt

Agree with Walt on the polarizer! Just find out his lens's filter size first, it's printed on the front of the lens or inside the cap, a number like 67 or 72 with a little circle symbol. Fall color and a CPL are a match made in heaven.
A book. Not a gear book. Something by a photographer whose pictures he'd like.

Seconding this. Or a voucher for a workshop or a photo walk if theres one near you, those are brilliant when you're starting out. Gear he'll buy himself, trust me
Lens says 67mm on the front. Polarizer it is, plus a book. I found a used copy of one my local library had that he kept renewing, so that seems safe. Thank you all so much!
Don't let him read this forum or he'll want a full frame by February
