been eyeing the viltrox 75 1.2 pro for portraits of friends, mostly at night out around wicker park. its a lot cheaper than the fuji 56 1.2 and tbh half of youtube says its sharper wide open anyway. but i keep hearing mixed stuff about QC on the cheaper brands. anyone here actually own one? worth it or should i just save for the 56
Questionviltrox 75 1.2 pro on x-t5, anyone actually using one?

Gear in this topic: AF 75mm f/1.2 Pro, Fujifilm X-T5, XF 56mm f/1.2 R WR
It's a big lump on an X-T5. Check the weight before you check the sharpness charts.
A friend of mine has one and loves it! The rendering is gorgeous, especially at night with Reala Ace (I'm trying to wean everyone off Classic Neg, it's a slow process). She says the AF is a hair slower than the Fuji primes in dim bars but nothing dramatic, and for people standing still and talking it doesn't matter at all.
If you get it, this is what she's running on it for night portraits and it's SO good with neon and warm bar light:
Reala Ace, Grain Weak Small, Color Chrome Effect Off, Color Chrome FX Blue Weak, WB Auto Ambience Priority R+1 B-2, DR400, Highlight -1, Shadow -0.5, Color +1, Sharpness -1, Clarity 0, High ISO NR -4, ISO Auto up to 6400, Exposure comp +1/3
No editing needed, just shoot it and send them to your friends the same night! I'd still buy from somewhere with an easy return window and shoot the heck out of it the first week, same as any lens honestly.

honestly buy the Viltrox, use it for six months, sell it for 80% of what you paid. Cheapest way to find out if you even like 75mm. Says the man who has done this with about nine lenses lol
Hola, I am new here. I only have Fuji zooms but my cousin in Madrid has the Viltrox 75 on her X-S20 and the photos from her friend's wedding were really beautiful, the background is very smooth, she says the only problem is it's heavy after a whole day, so I agree with mfrost about this
ok the 'buy it and resell' logic is dangerously convincing. weight is a fair point tho, i mostly carry the x-t5 with the 23 because its small. might go try one in a store first
You already have a 23 and a 35. A 75 will get used twice. Rent one for a weekend first.
