Got my first roll of Switch Azure back from the lab yesterday and I've been staring at it ever since...
For anyone who missed it, it's Harman's experimental colour negative with the couplers swapped about, so the colours go off in directions you don't quite expect. Which is the point, I suppose. Shot it round Brighton seafront on a grey Tuesday at box speed in the K1000.
The pier came out a sort of cold teal, and the people on the beach went a warm salmon colour that's either horrible or wonderful depending on how much coffee I've had. My dad would have taken one look and said the lab had made a mess of it, and in fairness to him that's exactly what it looks like. I loved about half of it. I'm going to shoot two more.
Has anyone tried it in proper sunshine? I can't help wondering whether it goes completely mad in bright light, or whether the grey day was doing all the work...
