so the x-t30 iii is official, plus a tiny xc 13-33 zoom. from what i can tell its the newer processor and a film sim dial in the same small x-t30 body. honestly kind of perfect for travel? i love my x-t5 but its not small with a lens on. would anyone actually buy this over a used x-t5 or x-s20? price seems ok-ish

Gear in this topic: Fujifilm X-T5, Fujifilm X-T30 III, XC 13-33mm
It's the right camera for most people who buy an X-T5 and then leave it at home.

A film sim dial on a small cheap body!! That's the X-T50 idea for less money. Honestly if you shoot JPEGs this is the one to get. Can't wait to see recipes on it, Reala Ace on that dial would be my default

the xc 13-33 is the interesting bit for me tbh. tiny wide zoom for walking about. no idea if its any good yet. if it is i might finally get something wider than the x100v for when i'm out with the fm2 and want a digital backup
For travel this is exactly what I want, my X-S20 with the 18-55 is nice but already heavy after a full day walking in Sevilla, and with the 70-300 in the bag even worse. Bueno, but no IBIS on this one I think? Thats the only thing for me, I do a lot of evening shots in the old towns when the light is going and with the 18-55 I rely on the stabiliser a lot. Maybe with a small prime it doesnt matter so much, the 27 for example. I would like to see the 13-33 also, if it is sharp enough it could be the whole travel kit for a city trip

yeah no ibis. for 23mm and wider idc tbh
Fuji putting out a cheaper small body instead of another $3k one, love to see it. Shame it isn't an a6700 lol. Kidding. Mostly. Reckon it'll sell heaps to people who want the look without the price
Small camera, small lens, grand. You could've had a GX9 and a 20mm years ago for half that mind ;) Grand little camera still, mine's been round Connemara twice

And people would still buy the Fuji for the colours.

Price is fine. Fuji's other prices are not. Buy this and a 27mm, done.
For anyone getting one, here's my go-to daylight recipe: Reala Ace, DR400, Highlight -1, Shadow -0.5, Color +1, Sharpness -1, Noise Reduction -4, Grain Weak Small, Color Chrome Effect Weak, Color Chrome FX Blue Off, WB Auto R+1 B-2, ISO Auto up to 6400, exposure comp +1/3. Works on anything with the newer processor!
ok update, held one in a store today. it really is tiny. grip is a bit meh with big hands but with a 23 or 27 its lovely. not buying (yet)

Famous last words. One of those, a cheap adapter and an old 50... lovely little portrait setup for not much money. Just saying
Bit late but I went with the X-T30 III and the 13-33 for my Japan trip in October, been using it round London to get used to it and really happy so far. Tiny is right, it fits in the bag with my water bottle. Using the Reala Ace recipe from up there too, thanks Acros
